Ask any experienced charter guest and they will tell you the same thing: the when matters almost as much as the where. Dubai is a year-round destination capable of offering extraordinary yacht charter experiences in every month — but the character of those experiences changes dramatically with the seasons. Knowing what each period offers, what to bring, and how far in advance to book are the three pillars of a perfectly timed charter. This is the guide that answers all three.

October to April — Peak Season
The seven months from October to April represent Dubai's finest season for outdoor activity of all kinds — and nothing benefits more dramatically from the perfect weather than a yacht charter. Daytime temperatures during peak season range from 18°C in January (genuinely cool by any measure) to 29°C in late October and early April, and the Gulf water temperature holds at a comfortable 22–26°C throughout — warm enough for swimming, clear enough for snorkelling, and calm enough to anchor in absolute stillness.
Evening charters during this period are particularly magical. The sun sets between 5:25pm (December) and 6:50pm (April), providing a long golden hour that transforms the Dubai skyline into something out of a painting. The air temperature after sundown drops to 15–22°C — cardigan weather on the upper deck for northern European guests, perfect sailing weather for everyone else. November and February are the two most underrated months: the crowds are slightly lower than December–January, availability is better, and the weather is essentially identical. Both months are exceptional values.
The peak season also aligns with Dubai's major event calendar: the Dubai Shopping Festival (January–February), the Dubai Desert Classic golf tournament (January), the Dubai World Cup racing season (February/March), and the key Eid Al Fitr window (month varies by Islamic calendar). Booking well in advance is essential for all of these periods.
May to September — Summer Charter Tips
Dubai's summer is not for the heat-averse: June through August see daytime highs of 40–43°C, and the humidity can be significant in July and August. That said, summer yacht charters are entirely possible and offer two significant advantages: prices are typically 10–15% lower than peak season, and the Gulf itself is extraordinarily calm — flat as glass on most summer days, with no swell and exceptional visibility for water activities.
Two time windows make summer charters work well. Early morning (6:00–9:30am): The Arabian Gulf at dawn in summer is one of Dubai's great secret experiences. The temperature is tolerable (30–32°C at sunrise), the light is extraordinary, and the city is quiet. Dawn fishing charters are particularly popular in summer. Evening (8:00pm onwards): After dark, temperatures drop to 28–32°C, the vessels' air conditioning ensures complete interior comfort, and the night skyline charter — marina lights, Ain Dubai at full illumination, Atlantis lit up — delivers an entirely different kind of spectacle. All Monaliza Yachts vessels are fully air-conditioned, ensuring that interior saloons are comfortable regardless of external temperature.
The sea water itself during summer is warm to very warm (28–33°C) — many guests describe it as bath-like, which either appeals enormously or not at all depending on one's preference. Snorkelling visibility remains excellent year-round.

October–April (Peak Season): Lightweight clothing during the day — linen trousers, cotton shirts, sundresses. A light cardigan or layer is strongly recommended for evening charters, particularly January–February when the breeze on the water can feel genuinely cool during golden hour. Smart-casual is the dress code standard; swimwear is welcome on all vessels during day charters. Non-marking flat shoes or bare feet are preferred on teak decks — heels are not appropriate on a yacht.
May–September (Summer): Light summer clothing, breathable fabrics, and good-quality sunscreen (SPF 50+) are essential. Hats and UV-protective rash vests are recommended for day charters. For evening summer charters, light clothing is comfortable as temperatures drop to the high 20s after dark. All vessels are fully air-conditioned: you can always step inside if outdoor temperatures become uncomfortable.
How Far in Advance to Book
As a guide: weekday charters in shoulder season (April, October) can often be confirmed within 24–48 hours. Weekend peak season charters (November–March, Friday/Saturday) should be booked 2–3 weeks ahead. Holiday periods (NYE, UAE National Day, Eid) require 4–8 weeks minimum. Wedding and overnight charters typically need 6–12 weeks. To hold a date without payment, message our team on WhatsApp — we'll confirm availability and place a provisional hold within minutes, with 48 hours to complete the deposit.
